Yes, it would be cool to see a longer video. But the surrealness of this video we had to share. Arika McGraw (7320) took this video as she and her partner Gillian (7379) followed Phil (7370) and Patricia (7333) motoring across Big Lake off the Echo Trail yesterday while checking remote water access only cabins during the evacuation process. For those wondering minds.....this was 11:17 a.m.

Friends, we can see the large swath of physical land these fires are affecting. What is harder to see is the effect it has on individuals. We can't always see the worry someone has about their loved one, their worry about cherished family memories that live in a cabin, the lack of sleep, the worry over someone with health conditions. We will work through this together as we always do in this region. Take time to have a little extra grace with each other. Take care and be safe!

Helping folks out of a jam comes in a variety of places, times, and external events. The K9 members of our squad understand this too and thrive with new challenges. Here Chongo (turning 8 months old tomorrow) is captured by the subject hiding tearing through a tunnel exercise in a recent urban search and rescue seminar and training.

Chongo is exceling at his training, including pizza table etiquette. We are incredibly lucky to have this little ball of fur and energy along with his handler Jenny (7372) as part of the squad!
