Networking with Liz
03/24/2026
The founder of one of my favorite networking companies sent me this. I thought you may want to read it too
It honestly makes my day that we get
to connect on a regular basis.
I’ve spent a lot of time trying to
figure out what really helps me become more successful.
About three years ago,
I created an image that represented what I was learning.
I started testing ideas from the books
Atomic Habits and The Power of Habit,
and after two years of experimenting and researching,
I developed this concept.
I first wrote about this in my book Making Action the Greatest Habit.
Each part of success has its own value,
but when you combine them and aim
them toward a specific goal,
something powerful happens.
From what I’ve seen—
both in my own life and in others—
the foundation of success often comes down to five basic questions:
Who am I surrounding myself with?
The right people make all the difference.
Where do I need to be?
That could mean a Zoom call, a coffee shop, home, or school.
What objects or tools do I need?
Maybe it’s a laptop, a car, or just the right setup for the job.
How close or far am I from where I need to be?
Think about distance—how can I shorten it if I’m chasing a goal, or create it if I’m trying to stop something unhealthy?
What am I doing to bring all of these together?
When I look at these five together, they help me find direction and take the right actions.
Here’s an example: I want to grow as an entrepreneur.
I surround myself with other entrepreneurs (people).
I use my laptop to do the work (objects).
I bring that laptop wherever I go (distance).
I make sure I’m near Wi-Fi and in places that support my goals (environment).
That combination keeps me moving forward.
But what about you?
What would your five look like?
I created these questions to help others figure out what works best for them.
If you want to share your five, I’d love to hear them.

If you use life wave patches or go to a chiropractor I'd like to chat with you about a new patch I'm using! I used to sell life waves. Still have thousands of dollars of them. But time for something else :) let's see what works better.
