The Multicultural Family Center recently completed the second and final year of a $25,000 DRA Core Grant supporting free cultural events that bring people together through music, dance, art, food, and shared experiences. Attendance grew from 10,529 in 2024 to more than 14,000 in 2025, reflecting the powerful role these events play in helping everyone feel welcomed, valued, and connected in Dubuque.

Art has the power to connect communities and attract new audiences.

The Dubuque Museum of Art completed an organizational rebrand through a $15,000 DRA Core Grant, helping reintroduce the museum during its temporary move to the Dubuque Historic Millwork District. With a refreshed visual identity, new website, and expanded marketing efforts, DuMA is building excitement for its future campus while continuing to strengthen Dubuque’s vibrant arts and culture scene.

Team members from Q Casino + Resort and Diamond Jo Casino Dubuque have teamed up to raise money for United Way of Dubuque Area Tri-States — and if they reach their fundraising goal, they'll earn the chance to rappel down the side of a building!

Changing lives and strengthening families.

The Dubuque Dream Center recently completed the third and final year of a $15,000 annual DRA Core Grant through its Keeping the Dream Alive initiative. This investment helped support community outreach events, staff training, and programming that serves more than 180 students each year.

The impact is clear: over 80% of participating students improved in reading and math, 95% of alumni graduated from high school, and many are now attending college or building careers right here in Dubuque. By investing in youth and families, the Dream Center is helping create a stronger, more connected community.

The monthly DRA Board meeting will be held on Tuesday, May 26 at noon in Reflections at Q Casino + Resort.
