Ability Matters

We were honored to welcome some incredible guests to our Open House last week! 💙💚

📣 Marci Straughter (left, front) is a dedicated advocate and recently made history as the first person receiving developmental disability services to serve on the Franklin County Board of Developmental Disabilities. Her passion for helping others find their voice and shape the future of disability services in Ohio is an honor to witness.

📣 State Representative Crystal Lett (left, middle) is a longtime advocate for children, families, and mental health services. She currently serves on the House Children and Human Services, Medicaid, and Small Business Committees, where she works to promote dignity, opportunity, and support for all Ohioans.

📣 Adam Herman (left, top) serves as Chief Executive Officer of the Ohio Association of County Boards (OACB), where he leads statewide advocacy efforts and works to strengthen services and supports for individuals with developmental disabilities across the state of Ohio.

We are so grateful that each of them took the time to visit Ability Matters, meet our team, and learn more about the programs, services, and opportunities we provide for the individuals we support here every day.
