One Dublin

Two Dublin students, Mohini Ravindran and Radhika Ravindran, from Grizzell Middle School collected schools supplies from students and staff at Grizzell, Eversole, and Karrer middle schools to donate to One Dublin! This supplies will help with our Back-to-School Celebration in August, where we provide backpacks and school supplies to Dublin students in need.

We are consistently amazed at the compassion our Dublin students have and their enthusiasm to make their community a better place.

We had the honor of working with the Washington Township Fire Department-Dublin OH to support the families impacted by the Asherton fire that occurred on May 3rd. We are grateful for their partnership and for the kind words shared by their Fire Chief, John L. Donahue.

We are also grateful for you and all of the ways you provided support to our organization so that we could better serve our neighbors. Together, here is how we were able to help those affected by the fire:

- We helped 10 different families/individuals who lost their apartments
- We provided almost $23,000 in financial assistance so far, including helping two families pay first month's rent to secure new apartments
- We provided 20 mattresses and bed frames to the families
- We helped provide furniture items to 6 of the families
- We provided clothing, shoes, and personal care items to 8 of the families
- We provided PPE to the families so that they could safely re-enter their apartments to search for any surviving belongings

Our scheduled Donation Day for Saturday, June 6th has been cancelled. We have been on the receiving end of so much generosity lately that we currently do not have the space or capacity to accept large numbers of donations. It's a good problem to have!

If you'd like to help, please sign up to volunteer so that we can process our unprocessed donations as quickly as possible.

We will also not have a Donation Day in July due to the July 4th holiday. Our next Donation Day will be Saturday, August 1st. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work through our current donations!
