It was a perfect size for many items (e.g. berries) and because of its shape it nested perfectly in a stack of other bowls. Sadly, I was hand-washing it in the sink and it slipped out of my hand and broke. I checked the Anchor-Hocking site and they don't even make anything like it any more. All of their stuff is "modern." I didn't give up; I searched on the web and found EXACTLY the item I broke. It arrived today in great shape and I feel whole again. I can't say so much for the Postal Service; one whole side of the box was stove in (despite FRAGILE stickers all over it) but the item was so well packed it survived the abuse.
