No one was coming to save me.

Not when I was a kid, not when I started this business, not when things got hard. So I stopped waiting. Stopped hoping for help to show up and leaned in to the only thing I could— me.

I didn’t have the kind of support most have. Not emotionally, not financially. Just a messy, unstable childhood that taught me how to survive before I even knew who I was.

When I started this business, I did it the only way I knew how: scrappy, resourceful, and alone. A canvas-covered board, tarp covered bedroom, thrifted tools.

Somewhere along the way, I realized the thing I thought was holding me back was actually the reason I kept going.

And then something shifts.

You start finding your people. The ones who show up. The ones who stay. The ones you can count on. Every. Single. Time.

For me, that was my husband—the first person who truly supported me, believed in what I was making, and has physically built this business from the ground up. This changed everything for me.

I’ll never regret how this started—learning to stand on my own helped me build something real and authentically mine.
