🚨 Utah’s new electric vehicle rules are here! Starting now:
⚠️ Riders under 21 on e-bikes & e-scooters must wear helmets meeting U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission standards.
⚠️ E-motorcycle riders under 21 need helmets approved by Utah DOT.
🏍️ Machines going over 20 mph without pedaling are e-motorcycles and may require a driver’s license, insurance, and endorsement.
🚫 Riders under 16 cannot operate e-motorcycles or high-powered machines on public roads.
❌ Riding electric vehicles while impaired is illegal.
👶 Kids 8-15 must ride with an adult or complete safety training & get a certificate to ride solo.
