Before & Afters from the Highland AirBnB Project

This was such a fun one to be able to work on. My clients brought me in before construction began so I was able to design it with them from the ground up and that is where all the magic happens. It’s always possible to bring in a designer mid project and we will do what we can to make it what you want, but when you bring us in before they even start anything, we are able to think about things that you never even thought of that can totally change the entire design.

This is one of the rooms in our house that we have been neglecting since we moved in and it feels so good to finally have it feel more complete. It makes such a difference to have a beautiful place to lay your head down at night even if it’s just for a night or two ✨

These really elevated this space and made it finally feel complete. The pattern is absolutely stunning and the quality is incredible. My favorite part is that they’re prewashed and they have a button snap at the top edge to make them feel even more polished ✨

It’s crazy to see the difference it makes with even just better furniture, but the fireplace adds the height and focal point this huge two story room needed from the beginning. Anything else just felt dinky and out of place in this room.

When we first toured this house (almost 2 years ago now 🤯) this family room is what made me fall in love with it. I saw how much potential it had with the tall ceilings and all those windows! I immediately envisioned a fireplace with built-ins and knew it was going to be tricky to do with the staircase and the upper windows, but I was determined to make it work. And I am so glad I kept pushing for it even when others (including Quinn 🤪) doubted how it was going to look.

It’s my absolute favorite room I’ve ever designed and I am lucky enough to live in it!
