Mind Building Blocks - Mentoring

The moment I started feeling better about myself was when I really uncovered all of the negative self talk that I had been blind to for years & denying that it even existed. It's now a part of me to look at that area of my life as one of the first things when I'm having difficulty achieving something.

What are your negative declarations today?

I learned about these things called "Declarations" a while back and I've reflected on my own Declarations ever since. And even hung some cool ones on my wall. Generally a Declaration is a positive statement that helps you move forward in a situation that you would normally feel stuck in… or get stuck in… For example: “I am a Problem Solver” …OR… “I am playful” …Both are good statements that can help you through different tough situations. Some could include: If I find myself with indecision because of some tough problems I’m facing and I can’t decide, I can declare to myself that “I am a Problem Solver” and force myself to not stay in indecision but make one! … Also if I want to relax and watch Netfix but my daughter is bugging me and wants to play with me I can tell myself my pre-conceived declaration of “I am playful” and it will help me decide weather to stay on the couch or get up and Play!

Declarations are awesome, I’m definitely converted to them! (They even exist in your scriptures) But something that most people miss even when they are masters at being “positive” is that it doesn’t matter how many positive statements you tell yourself unless you look at and get rid of the Negative ones…. Stop ignoring your negative declarations in your head! They are beating the crap out of you. Get rid of them! Notice them and wipe them away. Ask yourself: What are my negative Declarations today? And turn the negative into a positive… Don’t just ignore them… Change them! It will make all the difference in your results. Wish I could say more….
