hey springfield, missouri pals: im droppin by to say that im playin a semi-rare solo set in town in a couple weeks at . doors at 7, music at 8 til ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ $10 at the door. gonna be doin some newish stuff and probably some covers i dont get to do very often. it's pretty loose britches, they tell me.

also wanted to show off this old guitar. it's a 1965 gibson lg1 that my ex girlfriend bought for me when i was 22. the top was all fu**ed up and it had this horrible blue refin on it so i sanded it down badly and thats just how it was for like a decade. then i took it to sometime last year and they painted it black and made a new pickguard for it. they dont really do those types of repairs very often anymore, but they told me they'd do it if i was willing to wait for it. they also put in this pickup that gave me when we played in pasadena last fall and i think it sounds really cool.

am i gonna play it at the show? idk im not sure if it's good for everything yet but it's really good for some things. im just happy to have my old pal back.
