CMAC was my “baby” for 5 years. I wanted to share some of the highlights of what made CMAC the award winning art gallery it was. First and foremost was giving opportunity to some of our areas best Artists. Ivana Milojevic Beck has gone on to be represented in numerous gallery and museum exhibitions and lucky for me an extraordinary friend. At the height of the Covid era, I asked her to create an example of one of her enigmatic sculptural installations. Made of such diverse materials as brick, sand and yes swim caps. If you missed it, here it is again.

Had a great time with the Cohaire Indian Tribe last week doing some community outreach with them, accompanied by the film crew from PBS.I am also carving a large work to be placed in front of their community center. As Keith Carter, my point man and Cohaire representative keeps saying “Stay tuned”. I also had the opportunity to sit with a few tribal elders and chat. Very family oriented folks with strong commitments to their culture. This is a legacy project for me. Very grateful to be part.
