Creeping up on 2 weeks since I had a *heart attack*

At 31 years old..

What started as a great trip back to WA to see family, friends, and to shoot a wedding, turned into an emergency visit to the ER. The night before the wedding, I started getting tight chest pain. After 40 min of increasing pain I had a gut feeling I was having a heart attack. Then the left arm numbness, the back pain, then the neck pain. As much as I was trying to stay calm, I was struggling accepting what was even happening.

After multiple EKGs and blood tests, they ultimately let me know they’d have to transfer me hospitals. All I could do is call Diana let her know what was happening and then immediately panic that I’d have to tell a bride the morning of her wedding that I couldn’t make it. (She was super understanding lol and found a backup😅)

What they found was a 40% blockage in the central artery of my heart, due to high cholesterol. That 40% blockage clogged all the way up, then ruptured, sending me to the ER. Mind you, I only found out last year smh.

S/o to my dad for passing the hereditary genetic foolery called familial hypercholesterolemia (FH).
My big back dreams of becoming the next Keith Lee is over 💀

But I’m alive! Im surrounded by my beautiful family, my amazing friends, taking a handful of meds, and counting my blessings every minute of the day.

Just a friendly reminder to take care of your body, get your annual check ups, and live the life you want. It’s shorter than you think. 🙏🏽
