A state budget trend tracker is now available to Delaware residents Delaware’s State Auditor Lydia York unveils a state budget trend tracker.

ICYMI: Last week, the State Auditor's Office issued performance audits of every Delaware school district for the fiscal year 2024. These performance audits evaluated district operations over the collection and spending of local property tax funds to determine district compliance with laws and regulations.

The performance audits addressed the tax rate setting process, payments for services and supplies, and payroll. 13 audited school districts received audit findings, with common findings including:

- Purchases not following state procurement laws
- Improper payroll policies and poor payroll documentation
- Debt service exceeding 110% of Total Debt Expenditures
