Fighting the weather but we’re making it work. Got this big job finished up, opened up the driveway and some of the trails so limbs aren’t hitting vehicles or side by sides. Also opened up some of the understory on a few ridges to allow more sunlight to reach the ground. This is an on going project so stay tuned for more projects to be done and this farms also already on schedule for a few prescribed fires. I’m excited to see this farms progress. If there’s anything you need done I’d be happy to help and take a look.

Getting sunlight to the ground is step one in building better habitat. Spent yesterday opening up the woods.

Took some time this weekend to catch up on some personal work getting the farm ready for turkey season. We got about 15 acres burned and ready for season.

Helped extend a driveway for a customer then ran across the road to the neighbors to help take back the garden spot. Got a project in mind? Give me a call I’d be happy to look and talk about it.

Did you take a year or two off from deer hunting and let your food plots grow up in privet and blackberries? Well we can help with that. Another in the books ready for herbicide and planting this fall.

I’m horrible with before shots but all this was grown up in privet, briars, and saplings over the top of my machine where you couldn’t see probably 5ft in. Got a nice view now and expanded the trail to make it look like an actual road also got a few areas cleaned up that might make some nice food plots.

Finally got dry enough to get a little work done and finish up this project. Turned out really nice. More pictures to come. I’d be happy to help with any farm chore or idea you have.

Grounds to wet for heavy equipment but it’s perfect for planting trees and a beautiful day to do it. Planted and tubed 25 sumac trees today that will one day provide seeds for many different species. If you have any projects you’d like completed to help better your farm for wildlife I’d love to be of assistance to you.

State of Kentucky put out a really good calendar of habitat management to-dos and the best time to accomplish them. If need any help completing any of these projects around your farm or just don’t have the time to do them I’d love to make your farm a better home for more wildlife. Already have a list started once all this ice gets out of here don’t wait till it’s too late. 931-627-3152
