It is a beautiful day for a drive to Greeley’s Landing or Peaks Kenney. Swing on by, we are selling some local fresh roasted coffee samples and delicious organic Maine amber maple syrup. We will be out until 2 pm or when the thunderstorms hit.

We roasted robusta coffee beans for the first time. It turned out well. It is less sweet and acidic than Arabica coffee and has about twice the caffeine. The beans are smaller and rounded than Arabica beans. This Tanzania Fair Trade Organic has a pleasant but lingering dark chocolate, earthy taste. At about half the price of most Arabica beans, this is well worth checking out. We will have this coffee for sale in the next couple of weeks. Stay tuned!

Do you know where your garlic comes from? Most of the garlic you see at the grocery store comes from China, unless the label says "Grown in the U.S.A."

"Packed in the U.S.A." is a trick to confuse you on where the garlic really comes from.

Chinese garlic is a high risk of heavy metal contamination and the use of prison labor.
