Kerry Leasure’s first solo gallery exhibition, Altars to What Changed Us on view from February 19 – April 4, 2026. In Kerry Leasure’s everyday art practice, she uses found objects to shape wearable art. However, this exhibition is an extension of her regular wearables practice into exploring objects and meaning, by scaling her work with found items, and playing into her admiration for the folk art tradition of Memory Jugs.

Traditionally, Memory Jugs were created to honor and remember loved ones who had passed away. In this body of work, however, the artist shifts that focus seeking to celebrate memory itself, abstractally using humans as the vessel. These works explore how memory shapes who we are, even as our experiences and perspectives reshape those memories over time. Each piece reflects our relationship with living, ever-changing memories, both as individuals and as part of a shared collective.

Altars to What Changed is the Leasure’s first solo exhibition and introduces a new medium alongside a cohesive, previously unseen body of work.
