Good Afternoon,
Surry Community College is currently planning our Emergency Services training schedule for later this year. The schedule will be based on instructor availability and may include evening and weekend classes. Some courses may be offered entirely on weekends, including Friday evenings, Saturdays, and Sundays.
To help us develop the schedule, we are asking for your input. The survey will close on Monday, July 6, 2026, after which we will begin reviewing responses and determining which classes to offer.
Once we receive feedback, we will finalize the class schedule. Please note that each course must meet a minimum enrollment for the required hands-on skills. If the minimum enrollment is not met, the course may be canceled.
We are exploring the possibility of offering several Technical Rescue certification courses and would greatly appreciate your feedback to help gauge interest and assist with scheduling. The potential courses include:
• Introduction to Technical Rescue
• Technical Rescuer: Ropes
• Technical Rescuer: Confined Space
• Technical Rescuer: Common Passenger Vehicle
• Technical Rescuer: Machinery & Agriculture
• Technical Rescuer: Wilderness Block
Your feedback is essential in helping us secure instructors, prepare equipment, and schedule classes that best meet the needs of our emergency services community.
Please take a few moments to complete the survey by Monday, July 6, 2026: https://forms.gle/DYEwmQJ2Ys51S2Gy6
