Psalms 3 NKJV
A Psalm of David when he fled from Absalom his son.
3 Lord, how they have increased who trouble me!
Many are they who rise up against me.
2 Many are they who say of me,
“There is no help for him in God.” Selah
3 But You, O Lord, are a shield for me,
My glory and the One who lifts up my head.
4 I cried to the Lord with my voice,
And He heard me from His holy hill. Selah
5 I lay down and slept;
I awoke, for the Lord sustained me.
6 I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people
Who have set themselves against me all around.
7 Arise, O Lord;
Save me, O my God!
For You have struck all my enemies on the cheekbone;
You have broken the teeth of the ungodly.
8 Salvation belongs to the Lord.
Your blessing is upon Your people. Selah
(We see Selah used in this text, a search of the meaning shows that it is believed to be a pause or for the reader to meditate on the verse. Some also believe it to be a musical pause. This phrase is used 71 times in the Psalms.
We are also told that this Psalm was written by David when he fled from Absalom his son. This incident is written about in 2 Samuel 15-18.
David was being chased by an army lead by his son Absalom who wanted to be the king of Israel. Many thought that David loss the support of God because of his sins. David was surround by his enemies, however, his faith in God allowed him the ability to sleep for he felt His protection. Even though he was outnumbered, he still had faith and confidence in his God. We too should keep our faith even when we feel outnumbered. David still felt God's presence during his tests and trials, do we feel His presence?
Much of David's trouble stemmed from the sin with Bathsheba (see 2 Sam 12:10). Thus, a curse of infighting in the family of David. So, David's mistakes and sins have cost him trouble throughout his life. As do ours at times, however, God still loves and protects us when we come to him. David made mistakes but never lost his faith and relationship with God. We too must repent and ask for forgiveness when we sin against God. Through this we can keep our faith and relationship with Him. When we need God, we too should say Arise, O Lord;
Save me, O my God!
If we do with faith and love, He will answer. God bless and remember God loves you and so do I!)

Matthew 24: 36-44 NKJV
No One Knows the Day or Hour
36 “But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only. 37 But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. 38 For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, 39 and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. 40 Then two men will be in the field: one will be taken and the other left. 41 Two women will be grinding at the mill: one will be taken and the other left. 42 Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming. 43 But know this, that if the master of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched and not allowed his house to be broken into. 44 Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.
(We are warned that Jesus will return when it is not expected. Our lives will continue as normal. There will be weddings and births, celebrations and work. We need to prepare for this day in advance, we need to have our relationship already formed and established before this day. For when Judgement Day comes it will be too late. You do not want to be the one left. We are all travelers in this world our final destination depends on if we know Jesus and have belief in Him as our Lord and Savior. If so, you will spend eternity with Him, if not you will spend eternity in the pit of fire. Since we do not know the day, it is time to choose who you follow. God bless and I pray you choose wisely. Remember God loves' you and so do I!)
