My opponent Jody Barrett is trying to say because I support teachers that I’m not a conservative. He has not voted in a Republican primary in the last 4 primaries. The reason the Republican Party had this rule was to keep Democrats from running in a Republican primary, however they decided to not apply across the board. I am a proven conservative with a track record. I support our teachers and the public school system. My girls went through the public school system and have professional careers in medicine. My opponent home schools. That should say everything about who supports teachers. I have met with many teachers and spent time listening to their concerns. I look forward to working with teachers to address their concerns in the classroom and working on a benefit package.
