My first job when I moved to Michigan in 2003 was at Lighthouse. And this was my first MSHDA LIHTC project which is providing 40 units of affordable housing in Pontiac. Happy to come full circle and work with Lighthouse, the development team, MSHDA, Oakland County and the Pontiac Housing Commission to finance renovations almost 20 years later.

In addition to our work in developing affordable housing, Ethos assists organizations in the financing of transformative projects using New Markets Tax Credits (NMTC). We are thrilled to have helped Detroit Horse Power (DHP) close on NMTC and other financing for the construction of a $13 million urban equestrian center in Detroit that will be the largest in the nation.

The new facility will feature stables that will accommodate up to 17 horses, an indoor riding arena, multiple outdoor riding spaces, and classrooms, allowing DHP to significantly expand its operations to serve up to 2,000 Detroit Public Schools Community District students annually. Through its proven youth development model, DHP will continue to expose the next generation of Detroiters to the social-emotional benefits of horseback riding, ultimately equipping them with the skills they need to succeed. Congratulations to David Silver and the Detroit Horse Power team!
