No Way Back over the years has grown to be envisioned within the context of Detroit, at Tangent. This is our way of imagining what we do within the context of Berlin, of meeting the environment of Kraftwerk, the vibes of Globus, the meaning of Tresor, and imprinting our vision of No Way Back there. Globus will have the classic No Way Back feel, with Patrick Russell playing in a very unique way for these parties, to a sort of homecoming for Derek Plaslaiko, and an opening set from the likeminded local Sarah Wreath. Tresor is where it shifts, and we try to imagine the No Way Back experience within this stronger techno setting, so we have gathered the poets of the 909 and beyond to guide us through this transformative vision. What would No Way Back be within a techno context? We explore that concept with No Way Back residents Erika and BMG, the vision of Clarisa Kimskii, the live show prowess of Berlin’s modular genius Mark Verbos of Verbos Electronics doing a fully improvised live show that will be incredibly deep and powerful, and an extended opening set from one of Detroit’s best kept secrets — Craig Gonzalez.
