Thanks to all who came to the January meet-up, it was great.

We invite all current members to submit their best summer-themed works for inclusion in our The Call of Summer, a group exhibition at University Hospital, University of Michigan gallery space, Gifts of Art in Ann Arbor. Submissions may include pieces featuring bright, dazzling gemstones as well as works that capture the emotional essence of summer, such as the long days, radiant sunlight, vibrant greens of the season to memories captured. This theme has been chosen to bring light and joy to the viewers during the winter months and to remind them of the warmth and vitality of summer.

Dates of Exhibition: December 18, 2025- February 27th, 2026

Free to enter, 1- 4 pieces per member

Exhibition Location: Gifts of Art, Lobby Hallway Gallery at University Hospital, University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, all artworks will be in vitrine cases.

William Karas will be demonstrating how to make chain maille bracelets.

1-3 Open Studio

3-5 Broom/Salt Casting
Jupiter Goodridge will be demonstrating pewter casting on different materials such as broom straw or salt.

6-8 Riveted Fl**ge Setting
Doug Bowman will demonstrating a stone setting where the stone is held in place by pressure from a back plate.
