What We Found Behind the Drywall.

After removing drywall to repair rod-hole leaks, we discovered that the existing “insulation” was not performing as it should. In some areas, the wall framing was inconsistent, with studs not spaced evenly or set at the standard 16 inches on center.
These gaps between the studs and insulation allow cold air to transfer directly to the basement wall, making the basement colder and less energy efficient.

Why Proper Installation Matters.

Insulation is an investment, but if it is installed incorrectly, it may provide little to no benefit. That means money spent upfront can be lost over time through higher energy bills and a colder, less comfortable basement.
To avoid these problems, it is important to either hire a qualified professional or take the time to learn the correct installation methods before starting the work. Cutting corners may save a little money today, but it can lead to greater costs within a few months.
