IT TAKES A VILLAGE: A HUGE thank you to all the volunteers who came out last Saturday for the Villages Alley Cleanup and Reactivation effort in conjunction with Motor City Makeover. We could not have done it without you! Despite the weather, we made great strides toward improving a staggering 11 neighborhood alleys. Villages CDC will now follow-up on infrastructure issues (sinkholes, excess utility lines), install solar alley lights where viable, and support ongoing efforts to keep these alleys clean and usable. One alley at a time!

Check out the shops at the David Sidney building on Kercheval this weekend for their Spring Market, this Saturday from 10-5. The market will run every Saturday from April 25-June 13.

REMINDER - please plan to join us this Thursday April 23, 2026 for our quarterly community engagement session at Jefferson Avenue Presbyterian Church. Doors open at 5:30 and the session will begin at 6pm. Pizza will be served.

The Villages Business Association (VBA), an initiative of the Villages Community Development Corporation, are thrilled to be distributing our new "Guide to the Villages of Detroit" local business map and directory. This guide will be available at many businesses throughout the Villages. It was made possible by the generous support of our neighbors and local businesses at the first Taste of the Villages VBA fundraiser held last October.

The second (and now annual) Taste of the Villages fundraiser, which is scheduled for June 11, 2026, will enable the VBA to continue our efforts at supporting the growth of our local business community. Tickets will be available by April 30.
