Grilling season isn't over yet, ya'll! It's Grill time, baby!

The weather draws us outside for family meals, get-togethers and good times. But grilling season also is important to the farmers market industry, it's a great opportunity to increase basket size or if you're purchasing from us, your BOX size. The numbers speak for themselves.

According to Smithfield, Inc., 96 percent of consumers say they enjoy barbecue. Grilling displays are popping up in stores all across the country, and for good reason. The farmers market is positioned to win the grilling basket or perfect box throughout the entire year. Barbecue cuts of meat are growing 10 times faster than the total fresh meat category as a whole.

As we get into the summer holidays such as Memorial Day, July 4th and Labor Day, food retailers have great leverage to cross promote products and increase basket/box size. Those are the top three grilling occasions for the year.
Therefore, Meat Detroit will be cross promoting your favorite local farms and creating customized boxes just for you. We have partnered up with who will have her own customized box with your favorite cuts in and produce in it. As the community grows, we want to know more what you want and what you are looking for.
