Testimony:

The Power of Girlhood’s legacy will endure forever because of the families we connected with. Sholanda Knott-Johnson is one of the rocks that helped sustain us. First, her daughter Talaya Bates joined us as a practicum student and later a speaker, volunteer and coordinator. Her mom became not just an advocate and event decorator but my friend and sister.

I am grateful to witness the evolution of love and community. This goes past my wildest expectations. To see what God has done and continues to do is warms my heart 💜

Before we sunset POG we launched The In-Her Voice Project which is a media arm that hosted a magazine, podcast and YouTube channel. Of course these two were right there plus Ciera Monét and baby sister joined us too!

I am not sure what’s next but what I do know is that if we did nothing else…loving these women and being a witness to faith and determination is more than enough 💜

I am celebrating the whole family and Happy Birthday to a wonderful queen and sister 🎂
