This is a first. ECFR received an email early Thursday morning from a man on a sailboat traveling with his wife from Miami to Texas. Their main sail and motor were both damaged after enduring several intense storms. They were requesting food and water as they had completely run out of supplies. ECFR was able to connect with the couple this morning to bring a few boxes of food, water, shampoo and conditioner, and bags of ice. They anchored just south of the Destin bridge. We weren't immediately able to give them the supplies because of their location. We were able to find a boater who brought them to the harbor so we could connect the supplies to them. It is a good thing that they reached out. They should have enough food for the next week or two. So grateful for the opportunity to provide help and relief in our community 💙

Thank you to the Moose Lodge 2193 of Fort Walton Beach for their $3000 donation to our truck repair fund. We are grateful for your support and generosity 🫶

Right now repairs are needed to keep our refrigerated trucks on the road. Six days a week our drivers are making food deliveries to 50 agencies in Okaloosa and Walton County.

To help us continue to bridge the gap between food surplus and local hunger please consider supporting our truck repair fund: https://gofund.me/dceb03fa9
