You cannot shame somebody into a New Creation. While there were lots of healthy churches in the 90s, it was also for many an era of moralistic zeal infused with fear. And whenever the gospel is forgotten as “the power of God for salvation” — religious people will replace it with the strongest fleshy motivational tool — shame.

We hope you experience the healing that only the gospel provides. You are not backwash. You are precious to Christ!
