Somewhere right now there's a mama sitting in a dark room at 3am, baby finally asleep on her chest, scrolling through her phone just to feel like the rest of the world still exists.

She hasn't showered. She can't remember what day it is.

And she knows, somewhere in the back of her exhausted mind, that this is going by too fast. That she's going to forget the weight of him. the way he curls into her. The way his whole face fits in the palm of her hand.
