Clean Slate Builds

Trying to use as many parts as possible when salvaging what almost went to the landfill.
Hardware for sure, glass absolutely, but I had been unsure about actual sashes, as rarely will they fit in different homes (so far)
So I take the meeting, top, and bottom rails whenever I can.

ngl… I have a love/hate relationship with install day. I will say, though….. that wood turned out okay for starting this project with three layers of paint and shellac.

Most of the muntins fell out when the glass was pulled, which makes the scraping and sanding easier, but this part is less than optimal.

Holy crap.
A recent renovation/restoration project I was part of is a finalist for historic renovation of the year from DSM Home Design Awards 2025… my staircase restoration was featured as a centerpiece of the project!!!

For context, I’ve never been recognized in public like this for anything I’ve ever done. I’m sorta freaking out right now.
