The multi-tool. This came from a client who kept telling me that what I do is a multi-tool, in a healthcare world where everything is so specialized. She sees and has seen a lot of providers from Physical Therapists, Chiropractors, Medical Doctors including a few specialists, Acupuncturists, Massage Therapists, etc. Each of these professions is their own multi-tool to some extent, but she went on to say, "You have so many tools, that no matter what I show up with and need help with, you might use an entirely different tool." Yoga Therapy has a lot of tools in its toolbox already, and a wide variety, and she also reminded me that not only do I use those tools, but I sprinkle in some Occupational Therapy tools, such as myofascial release which is used with the Somatics tool of assisted pandiculation, to help people release muscles that have been chronically contracted for a long time, and simple craniosacral techniques. She said to me one day, "I feel like you only use what you need to, so that I can feel it and/or do it myself, and nothing more, so that I get better results, and I can do things on my own if needed." The fact that she is able to understand that, made me feel like I was doing the right thing in this work. The last thing she has said is that because I have so many tools and areas of knowledge, is that I also refer to other practitioners more, so they can use their specific techniques to help what she is doing in Somatic Yoga Therapy.

I could have left this off. The new logo could be complete without it. It might make it feel too busy or like there's too much there. I couldn't leave it off. It felt/feels right. It feels like a missing piece from my last logo/branding. What's great is that there may be times I represent ReForm with it, or without it, or without the infinity symbol and person, etc., etc. because I want to showcase that piece. Just like I do in sessions, use what is necessary. It's a Multi-Tool Method.

Inifinity symbol and person with arms up: the why's:
The infinity symbol was present before, with Atha's logo, as it's foundational in this work. First because it implies that we're trying to find balance, rather than "going full circle" or worse, getting stuck in the circle of insanity! Because we're always a work in progress/moving, this work helps us to find balance, in all aspects of our lives. The change in the symbol itself, with the added lines, again brings the feel of movement within the symbol.

The person in the middle, is because the person/you are the center of this work. Everything we do in a private session is based around you and what's important to you. It's a working relationship between you and your ReStore practitioner. The person is also standing in good postural alignment and with arms raised in celebration of feeling good! The dot at the bottom symbolizes grounding (wait, how can a circle be grounding?) Again, even with grounding and balance, we need it to be fluid, not stuck or stagnant. [email protected]
