On behalf of the Lincoln Girls Basketball program, we extend our deepest condolences to the family, friends, players, coaches, and the entire Roosevelt basketball community on the passing of Coach Vincent Hanna.

Coach Hanna’s impact reached far beyond basketball. He was a mentor, leader, and role model who poured his time, passion, and energy into the lives of countless young people. His dedication to the game and to the development of student-athletes left a lasting mark on the Des Moines basketball community.

For Coach Dom personally, Coach Hanna was more than just a respected coach. He was a friend. Coach Hanna was someone who always showed genuine respect, encouragement, and support for our program. He was always rooting for Lincoln Girls Basketball, always uplifting others, and always carried himself with class.

During this difficult time, our thoughts and prayers are with everyone whose lives were touched by Coach Hanna. May you find comfort in the memories he created, the relationships he built, and the legacy he leaves behind through the players, coaches, and families he inspired.

Rest in peace, Coach Hanna. Your influence and legacy will continue to live on throughout the Des Moines basketball community.
