Great news! Yesterday, the Governor signed on of the bills I ran in the Iowa House into law! This is my first bill to make it all the way across the finish line and receive the Governor's signature.
Senate File 445 allows county Boards of Review to authorize subunits of at least 3 members to conduct hearings and make recommendations on assessment protests.

My bill - House File 585 - just passed unanimously through the Iowa House! This bill will ensure that all Iowans have their interests represented on Iowa’s Transportation Commission. Right now, Eastern Iowa has no representation on this commission!
