Want to know where I stand on the issues facing Kansas?

I’ve spent years discussing property taxes, government spending, election integrity, economic growth, water policy, public safety, education, and many other issues that affect Kansas families every day.

That’s why I started The Kansas Briefing podcast.

Instead of relying on campaign mailers, attack ads, or sound bites, you can hear directly from me about what I believe, why I believe it, and the work being done in Topeka. Every episode is an opportunity for voters to hear the facts, understand the issues, and hold their elected officials accountable.

Transparency matters. If I’m asking for your vote, you deserve to know exactly where I stand.

Give The Kansas Briefing a listen and judge for yourself.

Serving in the Kansas Legislature during this chapter of our state’s history has been an incredible honor.

Recently, the Kansas State Library compiled historical research on gubernatorial vetoes in Kansas, and one thing became very clear: our Legislature has played a historic role in standing up for the direction Kansans voted for.

The data shows Gov. Kelly issued more combined legislative and line item vetoes than any governor in Kansas history (that we have records for) and also became the most overridden governor in Kansas history.

I am proud to have served alongside colleagues who fought to override vetoes on tax relief, protections for families, election integrity, conservative reforms and responsible budgeting.

For years, Kansans were told they had a “moderate” governor. But the veto record tells the real story. Time and again, the Legislature had to step in to keep Kansas moving forward.

This is why elections matter at every level. From the Legislature to the Governor’s office, leadership determines whether Kansas moves forward or stands still.

I remain optimistic about the future of our state and grateful to represent the people of this district during such an important time in Kansas history.

This morning, I had the honor of visiting two local cemeteries to remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our nation. Thank you to the Derby VFW and American Legion for their heartfelt words and continued commitment to ensuring the sacrifices of our fallen heroes are never forgotten.

Memorial Day is more than a long weekend. It is a solemn reminder that freedom is not free. We owe a debt we can never fully repay to those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.

May we always remember their courage, honor their legacy, and keep their families in our prayers.

God bless our fallen heroes, our veterans, and the United States of America.
