Our Irish Granny’s Table --------$27
Growing up I was told that EVERYBODY is Irish on St Patrick’s Day! We’re extending “the wearin’ of the green” into the weekend to share with you some authentic recipes of real Irish grannies from their kitchens on the Emerald Isle.
Nanny Brody’s Guinness Beef Stew -- Grass fed beef and organic carrots, cooked for at least 6 hours, the Guinness and the broth transform into a rich dark meaty gravy - no alcohol or beer taste remains.
Aunty Margaret’s Soda Bread -- to soak up that delicious gravy, made with brown sugar and buttermilk.
Queenie’s Colcannon - Irish butter, with sauteed savoy cabbage and mashed potatoes added.
Granny Helen’s Decadent Whiskey Chocolate Torte -- just a spoonful of our best Irish whiskey adds an extra dimension to this dark chocolate- and Irish butter-rich torte, served with whipped cream.

OUR VEGETARIAN IRISH GRANNY ------$26
She's a rare breed, but she knows how to eat well!
Nan’s Irish Rarebit -- a bubbly, melty masterpiece of grilled soda bread, Irish cheddar cheese, Guinness and spices.
Queenie’s Colcannon -- Irish butter with sauteed savoy cabbage and mashed potatoes.
Granny Helen’s Decadent Di**le Whiskey Chocolate Torte -- just a spoonful of our best Irish whiskey adds an extra dimension to this dark chocolate- and Irish butter-rich torte, served with whipped cream.

BEST OF IRELAND -------- $27
Spring is right around the corner and it’s time to get those last hearty cold weather favorites on the table before the season turns. Here’s a dinner we’ve been looking forward to for months, honoring the heritage of our Irish friends and neighbors. Slainte!
Shepherds Pie -- One of Tom’s favorites! St Paddy’s Day is the perfect time to offer this rustic, satisfying meal of nicely flavored ground grassfed lamb, veg and creamy potato mash lightly browned in the oven.
Shredded Cabbage Pickle -- A bright, crisp side of onion, carrots and cabbage combine for a light, herb-y bite to complement the warm, soft shepherds pie.
Sticky Toffee Pudding Cake -- dates, brown sugar, vanilla, butter and creammmm-mmm!

Sharing is Caring

In December one of our customers learned of the long lines of cars at Mountain Resource Center's food bank. He asked if he could give us $100 to buy a few of the next week's dinners for some of those people, to remind them that their present situation is not their final destination, that they deserve a special meal prepared for them and that people care about them. Other donations from people wanting to pay it forward have also come in. It looks like the beginning of something!

Feeding people is an act of love. We’d be lying if we said we did not get immense pleasure and satisfaction out of cooking for people. We have an opportunity to share those good feelings.

We have asked the Mountain Resource Center to choose recipients each week to add to our regular orders and they will pick up one or more of our travel-inspired dinners, courtesy of their mountain neighbors.

If you would enjoy doing a random act of kindness by buying dinner for an individual or family who is struggling, complete with our suggested beverage and entertainment pairings so they can “Make A Night of It”, here's an easy way.

Donate through the online ordering system on our website or stop by the kitchen on TH, FR or SAT to buy in person.

We’ll keep all the donations in a virtual pot and draw out to pay for meals as they are picked up. We are chipping in too, to make donations go further. We’ll discount these MRC dinners and pop in a few extra goodies when we can.

We’ll keep a spreadsheet and let you know when your dinner gift has been picked up.

SPECIAL EVENT

New Years Eve Small Plate Crawl to Midnight

Pick Up— Thursday Dec 31st between 4:00 and 5:30
Order until noon on December 27th

We may be alone this year, but we’re still going to ring in 2021 with gratitude and hope. We’re making it a party, with a selection of small plate offerings to lay out on the table and nibble. It's a little bit of a lot of things. There are vibrant colors, a range of flavors, all best at room temperature, to keep our taste buds awake, and plenty of good luck --lentils, lettuce and black eyed peas for prosperity, pork for progress, grapes for good luck and lots of symbolic gold and coins. Just add your favorite bubbly water, cocktail or Prosecco and make a night of it.
