The most resilient systems are the ones nature has already tested.
As cities face increasing environmental and social pressures, designers and planners are rethinking how urban environments function - exploring adaptive systems shaped by ecology, climate, infrastructure, and collective life rather than rigid masterplans.
This is the foundation of biomimicry: learning from natural systems to inform how we design, build, and live.
Join Ecosa Institute’s Executive Director and Director of Education for a lecture exploring biomimicry and the ways nature can inspire more connected, resilient, and environmentally responsive futures, from buildings and materials to entire urban systems.
🗓 Thursday, June 4

Peak migration. Alpine ecosystems. A full day in the field.
Join Ecosa Institute and Dr. Ryan Dibala of Wildlife Tours for a full-day immersion into during one of the most active periods of spring migration.
As returning breeders move through alpine, montane, and riparian habitats, this guided experience will explore far more than bird identification. Participants will learn about avian behavior, ecology, life histories, and the interconnected systems that support biodiversity in high-elevation landscapes.
Along the way, we’ll discuss the conservation challenges facing these ecosystems, from climate change to habitat fragmentation, and the role stewardship and informed action can play in protecting them.
Expect meaningful conversation, incredible scenery, and the opportunity to experience Rocky Mountain National Park through a deeper ecological lens.
