What do we choose to carry with us, and how can art help us honor those things?

Local artist mentors Sol and Alicia explored that question alongside young artists through self-portrait collages and a community ofrenda🏵

Youth reflected on identity, loved ones, memory, and the quiet comfort that can come from slowing down and creating alongside others.

Along the way, the group created space to share stories, connect through art, and honor cultural traditions as they learned Spanish vocabulary connected to ofrenda-making and remembrance🕯🕊

NCA Presents was a beautiful celebration of youth leadership, creativity, and community🌈

Led by our Youth Advisory Council (YAC), this year’s showcase uplifted 3 youth marketplace vendors and
17 youth performers through an evening of live performances, hands-on art, and community connection🫶🏽
