Do you have an older wood shake roof that looks like this?

This is the “before” photo from yesterday’s reroof project. Many homes throughout the Vail Valley were built around the same time and still have their original cedar shake roofs today.

As these roofs age, we commonly see curling shakes, rusted valleys and flashings, cracking, splitting, and increased wildfire risk. In many cases, homeowners are also facing insurance pressure, higher premiums, or questions about continued coverage.
