GA4 added something last month that most people haven't noticed.

A native AI Assistant channel now appears in your Traffic Acquisition report automatically. If ChatGPT, Gemini, or Claude has been sending visitors to your website since mid-May, you have data sitting there right now that you've never looked at.

AI-referred visitors are showing up further along in the buying process. They've already had a conversation, gotten an answer, and chosen to click through to learn more. That's a different kind of visitor than someone who found you on page one of Google.
