🧬 Depth matters. Once you go past about 0.25mm in most areas, you’re moving beyond cosmetic exfoliation and into territory that typically requires medical oversight because you’re reaching into the dermis.
📍 Not every depth is safe everywhere. The under-eyes, nose, forehead, and other thinner areas don’t tolerate the same settings as cheeks.
🦠 Risks are real: infection, scarring, prolonged inflammation, and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (especially if you’re prone to pigment).
😬 And “painless at 2.5mm”? Let’s be honest—2.5mm is not a casual, comfy, DIY depth for the average person.
