RIGIDITY. Even saying the word feels harsh. The world feels rigid. Our hearts feel hardened. Our bodies have become tense. The rigidity residing within you and I and this world is conceived from an accumulation of our ancestors’ oppression, our mother’s trauma while we’re in the womb, and the fear generated throughout this lifetime. The world is witnessing how fear can hijack authenticity and morph us into tense and hardened living beings. Wilhelm Reich, a doctor and a profound psychoanalyst from the early 1900s, believed we have armored with rigidness in response to turning against our natural instincts to fit into this mechanical culture. We have adapted too well to turning off our needs & desires as spiritual human beings. Most of us don’t even notice. In our culture, rigidity is seen as an asset to a functional way of life; The armor of RIGIDITY aligns with societal norms and expectations.
