Arrrh! Happy Talk Like a Pirate Day from the Mile High Chapter!

Congratulations to Dennis Mapes for winning the Gary Harrop Award! Dennis has been an active member on many committees for several years and will serve as an Officer on the MHC Board beginning in April.

Gary Harrop was an active member of the MHC for close to 20 years. He served the MHC in virtually every capacity and was also active at the Association level. Many of the programs we have in place today are due in some part to the efforts of Gary Harrop. He was a great leader for our chapter and a wonderful administrator at Issacson Rosenbaum P.C. Gary embodied what we strive for in our members, he was a great example for us all!

In honor of Gary, the MHC created an annual $2500 scholarship to be used to attend the ALA Annual Conference & Expo.. This scholarship is presented annually to a member in good standing that meets the following criteria:

1) The recipient must be an active member of at least one chapter committee; and,
2) The recipient must attend at least 25% of chapter functions each year.
