1️⃣ “My dad and grandpa also have this bad knee!” OK. We believe you that your knee problem runs in your family. 2️⃣ Here’s the harsh reality. Sleep is a superpower. When you take the number of people born with the gene that allows for low sleep without a decrease in performance, and round that number to the nearest whole number, that number is zero. The reason you feel crappy when you sleep more is twofold.
1. You are existing in a sleep deficit, and sleeping more tells your brain that it’s ok to lower the defenses it raises to combat that.
2. You changed the time you wake up or go to sleep, and circadian rhythms are the root cause of many energy shifts due to sleep.
Don’t believe us? Go to sleep and wakeup at the exact same time, 7 days a week, for a three month period. Ensure 8 hours in bed.
Your performance in the gym will go up. Your hunger cravings will go down. Your cognition will go up. Your s*x drive will go up.
Sleep is a legal steroid. Use it!
3️⃣ We’re not here to say that leaning out isn’t a viable way to make gymnastics easier. We’re here to say it’s not the ONLY way to make gymnastics easier. The thing that matters isn’t bodyweight. It’s strength to bodyweight ratio. You can build strength without changing your bodyweight, and achieve your gymnastics goals! It will take intelligent, patient work—but it will take that REGARDLESS of your weight.

The first thing we want to make clear is we’re keeping our opinions of whether this should be your goal to ourselves.
We are not here to judge.
We’re just here to point out you might be thinking about it wrong.
Building muscle is very hard work.
Losing weight without strength training while you do it lowers muscle mass.
Trying to get toned without lifting moderate to heavy weights is basically impossible.
Focus on building strength, eating well, sleeping well, and living a fulfilled life.

Our story:
April of 2006, Skip and Jodi Miller founded Front Range CrossFit. Born out of the incredible results Skip was getting while training for Muy Thai and using CrossFit as his strength and conditioning, FRCF has always been a gym focused foremost on results-based programming.
The gym EXPLODED, becoming the premier CrossFit gym in the Denver area, and arguably in the entire southwest region. Through the growth, Skip and Jodi prioritized continuing education, best practices, and an environment tailored to create elite fitness for our members, culminating with a 2nd place finish at the 2012 CrossFit games.
As the years passed, and CrossFit went from an underground movement to the fastest growing fitness movement in the world, we realized that we had to change with the times.
Our average member now is 33 years old. Many of them have kids, and almost all of them work full-time jobs. They work out because they want to be able to climb mountains, ski all day, play with their kids, and look better naked. We’ve taken the expertise that lead to world champion caliber athletes, and tailored the programming for the person who needs help conquering the game of life.
At the founding of FRCF, we were the 55th affiliate in the world—at this moment, we are the 20th oldest remaining affiliate worldwide. We’ve survived and thrived through 1 and a half decades of changing fitness (and a pandemic!) and we’re uniquely equipped to help you reach ALL of your fitness goals.
