🙌👏 JEWISHcolorado JCRC
All too often, intention fails to translate into impact. But when the Jewish community unites around our shared goals, like protecting students from discrimination, we can achieve great things.
HB 26-1141 is exactly that. By clarifying schools’ obligations and strengthening Title VI procedures, accountability, and transparency, HB 26-1141 creates stronger pathways for addressing antisemitism and other forms of discrimination in Colorado schools.
By bringing together the subject-matter expertise of Jewish organizations with the relationships we've built with legislators and allies, we helped turn a shared priority into strong public policy.

Did you know?👀💡🪬
As of this year, Jewish Student Connection, a program of JEWISHcolorado, operates in 17 different high schools in Colorado. Guided by JSC professionals and led by students, JSC clubs celebrate the intersection between Jewish and American culture, tradition, and values and nurture understanding and allyship among Jewish and non-Jewish students alike.
Help us ensure the continuation of this invaluable program when you donate to our Annual Campaign by June 30, 2026 (the end of this month!). Learn more about our programs and donate at https://www.jewishcolorado.org/donate

"We are introduced to an unusual persona in this week’s Torah portion, Parshat Naso: The figure of the “Nazir”. This is an individual who takes on voluntary restrictions — abstaining from wine, avoiding impurity, and letting their hair grow — in order to dedicate themselves more completely to God. We are familiar with figures in the Bible like Samson and Samuel, who lived as Nazirites, dedicating their lives to the service of God, through a bargain made with God by their initially barren mothers in exchange for bearing a child. The case of the Nazir uncovers a tension at the heart of Jewish life: Are we meant to withdraw from the pleasures of the world in pursuit of holiness, or are we meant to engage with all there is to enjoy in life and as a path to holiness?" —Julie Lieber, Chief Jewish Life & Engagement Officer
