🏔️✨ Do you all remember Bowie? This handsome four-year-old gentle giant started his journey at a shelter in SW Kansas. Thankfully, the shelter director knows APW well and reached out to see if we could bring him to Colorado to find him the amazing home he deserved!

🐶🏃🏼😴 As soon as Bowie arrived, he went straight to one of our incredible foster dads. While staying with Tom, Bowie learned just how wonderful life can be - discovering long runs, endless affection, and what it truly feels like to be cherished. He is a sweetheart through and through who loves everyone, enjoys running, sniffing, and all things Pointer, but also fully embraces cuddles and snuggles!

🏠💖 Bowie stayed with Tom for several months, and when his foster dad had to travel out of town, we moved him to a “temporary” foster home. Well, after just one week of having Bowie as their guest, they were completely smitten! 🥰 This easygoing, affectionate boy quickly settled right into their home and their hearts.

🍾 Join us in sending a huge CONGRATULATIONS to Bowie on officially having his very own mom & dad! Have a wonderful life, sweet boy! 🐾💕

🎉 Happy FriYaY, everyone! Let’s kick off the weekend right by celebrating Lily’s adoption! 🐾

🐕 Lily’s journey started all the way in Oklahoma, where she was surrendered to us after we took in her eight adorable littles. Once she arrived safely in Colorado, her amazing foster home gave her the space and time she needed to settle in.

🚗 After getting spayed and enjoying a week of well-deserved rest, the magic really happened. Her new forever dad knew she was the one - he drove all the way from Rapid City just to pick her up and take her home!

💖 Today, Lily is living the absolute dream as a loved and cherished only girl. When she isn't busy cuddling up with her dad, she enjoys daily runs in the beautiful national forest right outside her backyard!

🥳 We couldn't ask for a happier ending for this sweet mama dog. Happy tails, Lily! We are so happy for you and your dad!

Meet R***r… now lovingly known as Roo 💙

This sweet 6-year-old boy came to APWGSP as an owner surrender due to health issues in the family. While change can be hard, Roo’s story quickly turned into the happiest kind of new beginning.

As luck would have it, one of our previous adopters was looking for the perfect companion for 8-year-old APW alum Ruby — and Roo was exactly the pup they were hoping for! 🐾

Now Roo spends his days running, hiking, swimming, camping, and making friends at the dog park with his new sister Ruby and his two human sisters, ages 12 & 14. From not getting the exercise and adventure he needed to living the active, love-filled life every GSP deserves… Roo is absolutely thriving.

We’re over the moon to share that Susie, now Greta, has been adopted! 💛

Greta came to us from a rural New Mexico shelter, where she was sadly at risk of euthanasia due to overcrowding. Thanks to an incredible rescue partner, we were able to step in and give this special girl the second chance she deserved, just in time for her golden years.

And wow, what a gem she is. Greta is a true senior queen, the perfect mix of sweet and sassy. She knows exactly what she wants and isn’t shy about getting it! 😄

Special dogs like Greta deserve special homes, and she absolutely hit the jackpot with her new family. While we may not know much about her past, we’re certain her best days are ahead!

Now, she’s living the good life, enjoying long, leisurely walks, soaking up the sun, and keeping a watchful eye on every critter that enter her yard. Did we mention she also gets wrapped in her very own blankie? The ultimate pointer paradise! 🐾
