We had an amazing time connecting with our neighbors at the 2025 Big Pride Littleton event!

SunShare’s very own Community Solar Specialist, Julie Nelson, helped share how community solar makes clean energy accessible to everyone — no rooftop panels required. Building Community, One Event at a Time

Events like Big Pride Littleton, hosted by , celebrate the vibrant tapestry of the Littleton community by bringing together people of all backgrounds to connect, learn, and celebrate inclusion.

At SunShare, we believe clean energy should be as inclusive as the communities we serve — and we’re proud to support events that bring people together to build a brighter, cleaner future for all.

"Do Solar Panels still work in the winter?"

Even when temperatures drop, our solar panels continue to generate power! Here's why:

Solar panels convert sunlight into electricity by capturing photons (light particles) and turning them into electrical energy. While winter days are shorter, the panels can still capture the sunlight that reaches them, even if it's cold or cloudy. In fact, cooler temperatures can actually improve the efficiency of solar panels, as they perform better when they’re not overheating under the summer sun.

While snowfall may temporarily cover panels, once the snow melts or slides off, your solar panels get back to work! Plus, the reflection of sunlight off snow can even boost energy production on sunny days. 🌨️🌞

So yes, you can still count on solar energy in the winter months! By joining SunShare’s community solar program, you’re choosing clean, renewable energy all year long. Ready to make the switch?"
