It’s easy to forget just how little newborn babies are! Isn’t it crazy to look back at old photos and remember just how teeny tiny they once were?!

I was touring a school today for my oldest and looking around at all the school projects thinking to myself, this seems like we are years away from this kind of curriculum! Then reality hit and I thought to myself, “How is he four already?” And, “This stuff really isn’t that far off!” The newborn stage is so fleeting and it feels like you blink and they’re off to school! The newborn photos really help to transport you back in time to remember how tiny your baby once was, and just how delicate and precious every facial feature was 💕

With newborn sessions I always strive to mix things up with posing the entire family. I know people really appreciate those photos where they are looking at the camera and smiling, the “framers” as one might call them. But I find equally as special are the candid more natural shots where the family is just soaking everything in and admiring their new bundle of joy! Those are my personal favorites.

This is such a sweet and delicate time and it goes by so fast! You’ll look at your photos in just a month or two and wonder how your baby has already grown so much in such a short time. My best advice is just do it- have those newborn photos taken! You may be exhausted, struggling with feedings, self conscious about your new postpartum body (and the list goes on…) and the last thing you feel like worrying about is having newborn photos taken. I get it, I was in that same boat and can totally empathize! I’m here to assure you that I’m going to make it as stress free and easy on you as possible (perhaps some might even go as far as to say fun or even enjoyable 😉) and what I will deliver are memories that you will treasure for a lifetime.
