Ten people were killed and 49 others were injured just hours after it was announced that Israel and Hamas had reached a ceasefire in Gaza.

The dead included several who were queueing for aid. Local authorities said they were unable to rescue those trapped in the rubble.

The ceasefire will only take effect when Israel's government meets to agree on the deal, reports said.
