“I…see many organizations playing it ‘safe’ to avoid losing funding or support,” said Z Williams, Director of Client Support and Operations at Denver-based Bread and Roses Legal Center. “In reality, incrementalism and liberalism will not save us. We need to be brave and aggressive. I don’t know if there was ever a time to be meek, but it isn’t now.”

Dear friends, partners, and community members,
As we move into this new year, we are carefully taking stock of the changing sociopolitical landscape around us, and what it means for our partners and colleagues. We know that things may feel uncertain for the future of equity, diversity, and inclusion work. However, we also know that when organizations commit to developing equitable systems, people fare better and thrive – both in and out of the office.
𝐆𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐨 2025 𝐰𝐞 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐮𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤 –𝐢𝐧 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦 𝐢𝐭 𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐬.
We are excited to launch our 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐏𝐮𝐥𝐬𝐞, a bi-annual annonymous survey intended to get a better sense of how individuals across our network feel about the current state of workplace equity efforts to help shape future strategies. Our hope is that your perspectives will help us understand how you are feeling, identify areas for growth, and respond with offerings that support you in the years to come.
We will share our findings this spring.
